What was the highlight of Hotel Puerto de la Luz

Wonderful

Clean, very kind and friendly staff, comfortable. Surprisingly quiet, even though my room was right next to the elevator. The only thing that was a bit odd was the configuration of the room. You immediately enter into the bathroom, with the toilet immediately to the left, the sink after that and the shower directly in front at the end of the room. The bedroom is after that, separated by opaque, sliding doors. Not sure how I would feel if sharing the room with someone. Luckily I was alone this time. Nice continental breakfast!

great view, lovely staff. Very wide range of breakfast foods. Pool was lovely. Great location. Staff 24/7 and check out/check in was easy

Only provided with 2 coffee pods for 4 nights, housekeeping didn’t re stock them so we asked for more and had to pay for them which we thought was odd- other than that it was great.

Lovely stay

The staff were absolutely fantastic and this hotel is in a great location. We really enjoyed breakfast and the rooftop pool. Easy walk to beach.

This was a working holiday for me but the WiFi didn't allow me to work in the pool area as the connection was too weak.

Very Good

It was lovely and clean, breakfast was great and all staff very friendly and helpful.

Was more like a business trip hotel than a holiday stay. Pool and roof area were out of action which was annoying. Would have been nice if there was a bar area.

A really good experience.

In the end was a very good experience, the staff was really nice and answer all my questions. The position is quite perfect for living at the best the city and visit other many different places.

The quality of room cleanliness was almost regular for the standards, there was a bit of dust under the bed and some crumbs inside.

Good

Good location, only 5mins from beach and 20mins into centre of town. The ladies at reception were all very helpful and friendly, especially Cristina!

WiFi didn’t work most of the week. On a noisy road but we didn’t mind as the windows keep most of it out. Bed is quite soft if you’re more used to a harder mattress.

Acceptable but will not return.

The room was pleasant but small. The bed very comfortable. My main complaint was the strong smell of sewerage that lingered throughout our stay.

The fact that they didn’t supply normal instant coffee. Tassimo machine provided but capsules had to be bought from reception at additional cost. No milk provided therefore no coffee/tea facilities. I would have thought this would be standard in superior room that cost over £100 per night

Good hotel for the price, issues with waterpipes

The location is pretty central, close to the beaches. The staff was very nice and helpful. Overall a good hotel for the price.

The walls are very, very thin and you'd hear the water running for at least 10 min whenever someone on the floor above flushes the toilet or uses the bathroom. That was very disturbing as it happened at night, at 2 or 3 Am as well. It's interesting that nobody mentioned this in the reviews. The staff said it was a known issue. The other issue was the internet. Throughout my stay I had wifi only one day, and the rest of the 4 days there was no wifi. I was told the hotel contacted the broadband company yet nothing came out from that.
